[ He ventures into the kitchen, hoping to swipe a snack, when he walks past the knife block—or the spot said block is supposed to be. Frowning, he backtracks and stares at the empty space. ]
What's this? Where'd all the knives go? Hey! Whoever took them, put them back!
[ Shinobu is grabbing some paper towels and wrapping them around ice. If Zenitsu looks away from the knife block to Shinobu, he can see something is off about her nose before she puts her makeshift ice pack against it. ]
[ She can say that his mother was a hamster and he'd believe her. As uneasy as it makes him to just ignore her injury, she knows better than he does. He'll still worry, of course. ]
Week 0: Saturday
What's this? Where'd all the knives go? Hey! Whoever took them, put them back!

People are paranoid. Is it a surprise?
no subject
[ It shouldn't be, yet he's furiously surprised. Where are they even going to hide knives when they're dressed like this? Idiots, the lot of them!
Whirling around at the sound of Shinobu's voice, his gaze hones in on the ice pack.
Huh. ]
no subject
[ Which isn't exactly unfair because people have been forced against their will, but that doesn't mean Shinobu has to like it.
Her voice sounds a little off because her nose is broken. He doesn't need his special hearing for that. ]
We will have to be creative with our cooking.

Nose!
Ms. Kocho, your nose! What happened to your [ cute as a button, little as a baby, lovely as a butterfly ] nose?
no subject
[ Magically, her grace and training were reduced to nothing in the face of
what she did to make that happen. ]
no subject
Huh? The wall?
H-how bad is it? You don't sound so good!
no subject
[ She's suffered worse. He will suffer worse in his future. It's fine. ]
Have you read the travel guide that you were given?
no subject
Anyway, he nods as he unzips the fanny pack secured at his hip to procure the travel guide. ]
It's not much of a guide, though.
no subject
[ It's somewhat of a guide. ]
no subject
[ He'll check compulsively, too. Rules are prone to changing. But he can't help his apprehension as he looks at Shinobu's face. ]
Um, is your nose going to be all right?
no subject
[ She smiles to reassure him. She's emanating as many reassuring vibes as she can. Believe her, Zenitsu. ]
no subject
You're very knowledgeable, aren't you, Ms. Kocho?
no subject
It's terrible. ]
I know a little about medicine. That's all.
no subject
That's amazing. If it's anything like the last time, you'll end up helping lots of people.
[ Hopefully none with knife wounds. ]
no subject
[ Or does he mean demon slaying in general? ]

At the house, we had Ms. Luna. As a medical professional, she was always taking care of everyone.
no subject
I’m glad there was someone able to help you there. I can’t imagine there will always be someone with medical knowledge.
[ which is terrible to think about with all the injuries people can get when murder is involved. ]
no subject
Everyone at the house was reckless. We really lucked out with Ms. Luna, but the bus is even more crowded. Is it just you here, Ms. Kocho?
[ If so, they're going to work her like a dog. Poor Shinobu. ]
no subject
[ She shakes her head. ]
I don't know enough about the others to know their medical expertise. I wouldn't say I'm an expert, either.
no subject
That just means we'll have to think twice before doing anything. Maybe everyone will calm down if we don't have a doctor to take care of us.
[ A tall order for many, which would be further proof that nobody here is normal (his assumption). ]
no subject
We may hope, but with what everyone seems to have experienced, I don't imagine many will think twice.
